In collaboration with NV Zeedijk (who has provided us the priceless little shop right across Central Station Amsterdam)
we will set up a video installation looping the full Advanced Beauty DVD which is set to be released this September.

Advanced Beauty is an ongoing exploration of digital artworks born of and influenced by sound, curated by Matt Pyke of Universal Everything and his brother, sound artist extra-ordinaire Simon, better know as Freefarm/Freeform.

An international collaboration of 18 participants - from Londoners to Muscovites to Buenos Aireans – the project embraces ground-breaking video-making and visual programming processes.

This collection of 18 films is the first in a series of exhibitions, with upcoming commissions for the Victoria Albert Museum, London and galleries all over Europe, USA and Japan.

Earlier this year in May, 18 months after the project began, the films were premièred at Lovebytes 2008 in Sheffield. A month later the collection met with gob-smacked approval when it was screened by Apple at Cannes Lions.

The collection of 18 pieces is now waiting for release as Blu-ray DVD in their original, pristine HD1080 resolution and 5.1 surround sound later this autumn.

Maxalot hosts Advanced Beauty, the Amsterdam edition, with a classic boutique window on the central Prins Hendrikkade displaying a 24-hour looping video and sound installation for your audio-visual enhancement.

De succesformule van de NV Zeedijk is het opkopen van panden in combinatie met sociaal beheer met als doel een prettige, toegankelijke en economisch gezonde buurt. De NV Zeedijk heeft dit sinds de jaren ’80 toegepast op de Zeedijk, en doet dit nu ook voor andere straten bijvoorbeeld op en rondom de Warmoesstraat, Gelderskade en de Oude Hoogstraat.
